Living or Driving Through Oregon, Hands Free as of Jan. 1 2010

December 17, 2009 Local Information, Travelers No Comments

Hands free driving varies from State to State, but if you are from Washington or California, driving hands free has become a way of life for the last year or two.

A big difference if you are used to driving in Washington, is that the reason to pull you over and the penalty for not being hands free, shows Washington as more lenient than Oregon.

For Oregonians or others not used to doing that, January 1, 2009 is the date to remember.  If you are under 18 years of age, it is not only hands free, but mobile communication device free!  Some exceptions do apply.
